Wilmington Whiteface Whiskey Run presented by High Peaks Builders, Mountain Valley Federal Credit Union, and the Owaissa Club

Welcome to beautiful Wilmington, NY, the home of Whiteface Mountain and the 4th annual Whiskey Run, now with a 5K added to our usual 10K! Due to the pandemic, this year’s race will be VIRTUAL. You can run anywhere at any time on June 19, between 8am and 8pm (EST).  You'll be able to submit your official results through text message or email (we'll send you instructions - its easy!).  We are excited about making this a special day for runners with some fun ideas like a digital bib, a runner’s raffle, and a special Whiskey Run photo frame and set-up at the Wilmington’s Festival Field park as an additional photo opportunity for local runners. Runners will be encouraged to take their own photos during their run and/or at the park to share on Social Media and on the adkwhiskeyrun.com website. We also invite you to visit our scenic town on your own and on a safe time schedule as the year progresses because there is a lot to see and do here with many outdoor activities. We do anticipate an in-person race again in 2022!

But why a Whiskey Run you ask? As it turns out, the area has quite a storied history with liquor, legal and otherwise. During the War of 1812, Wilmington supplied good rye whiskey to the American troops at the Battle of Plattsburgh as part of their daily ration. During prohibition with its proximity to Canada, Wilmington residents provided temporary haven for bootleggers crossing the border, until recently, Wilmington was home to US Barrel, the oldest whiskey barrel cooperage in the Northeast. So with our somewhat checkered history and natural beauty we invite you to join us for this VIRTUAL Wilmington Whiteface Whiskey Run June 19th, 2021. Run participants will receive a t-shirt, a whiskey flask medal, “swag” from local businesses and an opportunity to win a special runner’s raffle. We also encourage runners to post photos on our website and on social media.

Upon registration, there will be an option to pick up the runner’s packet in Wilmington, or to have it mailed to you for a small fee.

Order quality tri-blend t-shirts with registration, Ladies’ V-neck in small, medium, large, XL-4XL. (*** Note: Ladies’ shirts run small***) and Men's small, medium, large, XL-4XL.

Run participants will receive a t-shirt, a whiskey flask medal, and great coupons and other “swag” from our local businesses. So how do you get your stuff?  You've got options!

You have the option to pick up your swag or have it mailed to you.  Packet pick-up (Includes t-shirt, finisher medal, and swag) options:
